This unique 19-day tour unveils all the highlights of Vietnam ( from South to North), you will be amazed by the bustling Saigon at night, the Mighty Mekong Delta, the valleys and waterfalls in Dalat, Then chill out on the white sandy beaches of Nha Trang Learn about the fascinating history of Vietnam by visiting the World Heritage Sites of Hue citadel and Hoi An ancient town, explore the Emperors tombs in the Hue Citadel, to discover the unique customs of the ethnic people in the mountainous area of Sapa Tour and to witness the extraordinary beauty of Ha Long Bay.
DAY 1: Ho Chi Minh arrival & City Tour (L)
Arrive at Tan San Nhat airport. Be welcomed by Luxury Outing’ guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel. Begin your sightseeing tour by visiting the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975, and explore some French colonial structures including Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office.
Take a tour of town including Thien Hau and Quan Am pagoda. After seeing the Emperor Jade Pagoda and the War Remnants Museum we end the city tour with a visit to Ben Thanh market where anything and everything is for sale . Stay overnight at your hotel of choice in Ho Chi Minh city.
DAY 2: Ho Chi Minh city – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi tunnels (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive west to Tay Ninh, headquarters of Cao Dai region. On arrival, attend the fantastic mid-day temple service when followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.
On the way back, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground network of tunnels constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, accommodation, etc. and were used as a military base for the Vietcong during the American war.
Drive back to HCMC. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 3: HoChiminh – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B,L)
We depart Mekong Delta Tour from Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho City for one and half hours by bus. A smooth one and half hour bus ride passing the green rice fields, leads you to the beautiful rural My Tho City.
The morning trip continues on the motorized boat on the Tien River to the Qui ( Tortoise Islet). On the way, you will view the fishing port, stilt houses, boat-buildingworkshops, the other Dragon, Phoenix and Unicorn Islet.
The cruise will lead you through Bao Dinh Canal to enter Ben Tre province, “The country of coconut”, to see a typical agricultural model call “Garden – Pond – Cage” then enjoy coconut candy milk and the relaxing honey tea.
Then the amazing rowing boat trip on the small canal – fully covered by the shadow of the water coconut’s tree and cool breezes is something you cannot miss.
Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden
We will walk into the village, visit fruit garden, enjoy the tropical fruit while you are listening to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music” performed by the islanders. Here we also can join the daily activities of the local people and enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside.
Your expectations will be fulfilled by final boat trip back to MyTho on the Tan Thach natural canal. Then you will continue to Can Tho by A/C bus in two hours, arrived in Can Tho City – the heart of Mekong River. Check in at hotel.
Transfer by motor boat to a small village in Cai Rang district. Check into your riverside cottage. In the afternoon, go cycling or trekking around the village to experience the rural lifestyle of the Mekong Delta people. Join a family as they prepare dinner, then share the meal with them. Enjoy an evening of traditional folk music with your neighbors. Overnight in your riverside cottage.
DAY 4: Can Tho - Cai Rang - Hochiminh (B,L)
After breakfast, take the morning boat trip to visit the Phong Dien floating market which is at its busiest at this time of day.
After breakfast, you first take the boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River. The boat trip later takes you to the Cai Rang floating market, which is the most original ones and bustling places of the region. Have you tried the Vietnamese vermicelli noodle? you will go and see how it is made then.
You will trek along the village to get in touch with the local people. Here, you have a chance to experience how to pass a “Monkey Bridge” which is built by only one bamboo. Leaving the village, you will go to visit Can Tho Market, have lunch there.
17.00: Our bus will transfer you back Ho Chi Minh City. End tour. Say goodbye and hoping see you again.
DAY 5: Ho Chi Minh City – Da Lat (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. 7:15 AM Depart for Da Lat by tourist bus via National highway. Enjoy the smooth drive and the beautiful landscapes.
4:00 PM Arrive Dalat, Check in hotel
Free time to visit Dalat City.
At leisure in the late afternoon. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Da Lat.
DAY 6: Da Lat countryside tour (B,L)
In the morning, you will enjoy fresh air on the way to Van Thanh Flower village to get closer to daily lives of local people. Many kinds of flowers are planted here to make our life more beautiful! We will continue to cross Ta Nung pass, enjoy the whole view of Nam Ban town and the mighty sight of huge jungle.
Let’s stop to visit Highlands Coffee Plantation and Weasel Coffee Workshop (Kopi luwak or civet coffee) : tasting coffee (excluded fee) and learn about coffee making process.
Then take a walk around K’Ho minority village. The most interesting thing of this tour is the Silk Factory: to watch the silkworm rearing and the process of silk making. Our tour guide will show you how silkworms grow and take a tour around the factory to see how the silk is made.
Have your lunch at local restaurant on the way (tour guide will recommend the prestigious restaurant if require)
In the afternoon, you will enjoy the imposing wild scene of Elephant Waterfall, the widest waterfall of Lam Dong province, impressive! roaring like thunder! Climbing up to the hill through the cement stairs, you will see a solemn pagoda – Linh An Pagoda with two august dragons flanking two sides. Then touching the huge Happy Buddha can bring you happiness and luck basing on the belief of local people.
Have you ever try local rice wine? Let find out how they make it and taste a little bit at Workshop of Organic Rice Wine! Cricket Farm is the last place of countryside, tasting the fried crickets (included fee) and enjoy it! crunchy!
On the way back to Dalat, you will visit Ancient Train Station of Indochina – Dalat Railway Station which is the oldest and the most beautiful railway station in Indochina, one of the precious heritages of Vietnam, a unique cog railway of Asia and second over the world after Switzeland.
DAY 7: Da Lat – Nha Trang (B)
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart for Nha Trang.
Lunch en route. Arrive Nha Trang, check in hotel and free time for visit the Polongiarai Cham tower.
At leisure in the afternoon. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Nha Trang.
DAY 8: Nha Trang and its off shore island (B,L)
Breakfast at your hotel. Take the morning boat trip to visit the offshore islands including Hon Mun, Mot island. See the Tri Nguyen Aquarium.
Lunch on Hon Tam island. Free time for swimming.
Return to Nha Trang. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Nha Trang.
DAY 9: Nha Trang – Da Nang – Hoi An (B)
Breakfast at your hotel. Free until transfer to Cam Ranh airport for boarding flight No VN 336 to Da Nang (12:05 – 13:20).
Pick up and transfer to Hoi An Ancient town.
Free in the afternoon. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Hoi An.
DAY 10: Hoi An – My Son (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for My Son to visit the Cham Holy Land, a World Heritage site.
Afterwards stroll around the town, visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky old house, the Cantonese congregation, the silk street of Hoi An and the Danang-style temples and pagodas. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Hoi An.
DAY 11: Hoi An – Hue (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Hue via Da Nang, visit the Marble mountain, the Cham museum. Stop for photos at the Hai Van pass and Lang Co beach.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit Visit Dong Ba market, the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, and the ruins of the Purple Forbidden City. Enjoy a dinner cruise and night boat trip accompanied by a performance of Hue folk songs. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Hue.
DAY 12: Hue – Ha Noi (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Cruise on the Perfume River to visit the royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, Thien Mu pagoda and the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang, in a setting of gardens and lakes. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Transfer to Phu Bai airport for boarding flight No VN 244 to Hanoi (14:55 – 16:10). Pick up at Noi Bai airport and transfer to hotel.
Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Ha noi.
DAY 13: Ha Noi City Tour – Sapa (B,L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit Hoan Kiem lake, Ngoc Son temple, Tran Quoc pagoda and Quan Thanh temple. Cyclo ride around the old quarter streets from Hang Dau to Hang Gai. Dinner on guest’s account Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi and transfer to Hanoi railway station for boarding the Express Train to Laocai. Overnight in an air-conditioned soft sleeper wooden cabin. (4 pax/cabin or 2 pax/cabin on request).
DAY 14: Sapa – Catcat – SinChai ( 4 hours trekking/12 km, 2 villages ) (B,L,D)
6 : 00 am – Arrive at Laocai train station. Welcome by your local guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel. Have breakfast and a shower. Trek around 12 km to visit two villages of the Black H’mong (Catcat and SinChai).
Enjoy a picnic lunch by a waterfall and see the hydroelectric power station established by the French.
Jeep from Catcat back to Sapa at around 4pm. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Sapa.
DAY 15: Sapa – Lao Chai - Ta Van – Lao Cai (5hrs trekking/17 km/3 villages) (B,L,D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Head for the valley by jeep to visit two villages of the H’mong and the Dzay.
Picnic lunch en route or with a local family.
Visit the Red Dzao in Ta Van village, stopping off to see a picturesque waterfall and suspension bridge. Walk up to the road and take the jeep back to Sapa. Dinner at a local restaurant. Transfer to Lao cai train station for boarding the Express to Ha Noi (21:25 – 5:00).
DAY 16: Ha Noi – Ha Long (L,D)
5: 30 AM arrive Train station. Have breakfast. Depart for Halong through the Red River Delta. Transfer to Cruise and enjoy a welcome drink and a splendid lunch of local seafood.
Then begin a 4-hour cruise of the bay to see amazing limestone karsts with different formations such as Lion, Tea Pot, Toad, Dau Nguoi (Human Head) islets.
Take a walk through Sung Sot, the “Amazing Cave”. There is ample time for swimming and sunbathing (weather permitting), as the Cruise anchors for a night on the Bay. Enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner in the beautiful restaurant before retiring to the comfort of your cabin.
DAY 17: Ha Long – Ha Noi (B,L)
Early risers can enjoy an energizing swim in the cool, calm and quiet waters of the overnight anchorage.07:30 breakfast, The cruise then continues, passing more interesting formations such as Ti Tot and Soi Sim Beaches, Ngon Tay (Finger) islet, Thien Nga (Swan) islet and Ga Choi (Fighting Cock) islet. Return to Halong City.
Have lunch on boat. Disembark at Halong Tourist Wharf for the return trip to Hanoi.
DAY 18: Ha Noi and departure (B)
Breakfast at your hotel. Free leisure time to explore the city until your transfer to Noi Bai airport for departure.
