How Fighting Cocks Islet got its name

Fighting Cocks Islet (Vietnamese name: Ga Choi Islet) also has another name as Cock and Hen Islet or Trong Mai Islet. It all depends on your imagination. People see it as two cocks facing each other, while others see it as a cock and a hen. This islet consists of two limestone islets which brings to your mind the shape of a cock (or a hen) on a facing position.

Fighting Cocks Islet get its most spectacular view at sunrise with marvelous sunlight and sea waves. Both separated islets are about 12 meters high with seemingly unstable pins underneath that makes you feel these two heavy stones can fall down anytime. Nevertheless, hundreds of millions of years have passed, but the islet still stand firm and leave all travelers in awe.
 
Maybe it is the magnificent natural symmetry of these two contrasting islets with the fantastic background that set such a strong impression on people’s mind.
